Fin.

This concludes all of the artspam. Everything in previous posts is older art, unfinished work or stuff I've never posted anywhere. It was all gathering dust in long-neglected folders on my hard drive, and I felt bad for never doing anything with them. I may get around to finishing some of them eventually, but for now, I'll dump them here to remind myself that I should draw for pleasure more often.

Everything from here on will be current stuff! Until then, enjoy these classy, classy bitches.

Sketch Dump 004 - Photoshop Practice

Much as I love (and am more familiar with using) other art programs to paint, I've always admired what people can do in Photoshop. One of my long-term goals is to eventually learn how to use it well. Did these back in 2010, speedpainting for practice.

Sketch Dump 003 - Boys

More sketches; random boys and in the center, Kirk from FreakAngels, by the talented Messrs. Warren Ellis and Paul Duffield. :) If you haven't already read it, you lucky people get to read the entire series in one go, as it is now complete.

To Modern Science - Sketch

I'll eventually finish this one day. Sketch circa 2009 - good lord.

Hitachiin

I was going to make a print of this a few years ago. I still like it, so I may do something with it. Hikaru and Kaoru from Ouran Host Club; drawn in 2008, I think?

Sketch Dump 002 - Monster

Some characters from the amazing Naoki Urusawa's Monster this time. Includes older/younger Johan, Runge, Grimmer, Tenma and Mr. Wilford Brimley himself, Dr. Reichwein.

Sketch Dump 001

Random doodlings! Probably done in 2009 and 2010?

Pieces

We made up our own board game to play during a trip in the Poconos a few years back.

The idea came from some Japanese variety shows I'd seen, where they played batsu (penalty) games. You rolled a dice and whatever you landed on, you had to do. It was usually a mixture of penalties and prizes, but our game was pretty much all penalties.

These included "Cupcake Roulette", where you had to bite into a cupcake, in many of which lurked surprise fillings such as breakfast sausage, octopus (yes, we had octopus) mustard, mayonnaise, black pepper and any other condiments on hand. Similarly, there was the "Danger! Gelatin" penalty, where (without looking) you took a jello shot, which might be filled with ground beef, green peas, or horrifyingly enough, raw garlic. And then there was my personal favorite, "Jello Shoes", which required you to spend the rest of the game with your feet in baggies of gelatin.

Anyway, I made little game pieces for each of us with my button machine!
